Terms and conditions

 

1. Definitions

  • Company / We / Us: [Twist n Turn Moto Tours], a company registered in England and Wales.

  • Customer / Rider / You: The person booking and participating in the tour.

  • Tour: The organised motorcycle tour arranged by the Company.

  • Motorcycle: The participant’s own motorcycle used during the tour.

2. Booking & Payment

  1. A booking is confirmed once a completed booking form and the required deposit are received.

  2. A non-refundable deposit of £[25 %] is required at the time of booking.

  3. The remaining balance must be paid no later than [e.g., 60 days] before the tour start date.

  4. If the balance is not received by the due date, the Company reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.


3. Cancellation by Customer

  1. All cancellations must be made in writing.

  2. Cancellation charges apply as follows:

    • More than 60 days before departure – deposit retained.

    • 30–59 days before departure – 50% of the total tour cost.

    • Less than 30 days before departure – 100% of the tour cost.

  3. Customers are strongly advised to take out comprehensive travel and motorcycle insurance including cancellation cover.

  4. 4. Cancellation or Changes by the Company

    1. The Company reserves the right to cancel or alter a tour due to circumstances beyond its control including but not limited to:

      • Extreme weather

      • Political instability

      • Border restrictions

      • Safety concerns

      • Insufficient bookings

    2. If a tour is cancelled by the Company, customers will receive either:

      • A full refund, or

      • The option to transfer to another tour.


    5. Rider Requirements

    Participants must:

    • Hold a valid full motorcycle licence appropriate for the motorcycle being used.

    • Be legally permitted to ride in the countries visited.

    • Be at least [minimum age, e.g., 21 or 25] years old.

    • Be physically and mentally capable of riding long distances.

    • Follow all local traffic laws in each country.

    The Company reserves the right to refuse participation if a rider is considered unsafe.


    6. Motorcycle Requirements

    Customers must ensure their motorcycle:

    • Is road legal and properly registered.

    • Has valid insurance covering riding in all tour countries.

    • Has valid MOT (if required).

    • Is in good mechanical condition.

    • Is covered by a breakdown recovery insurance, AA/RAC or similar.

    • Carries required equipment for European travel (e.g., documents, safety items as required by law).

    The Company is not responsible for mechanical failure.


    7. Insurance

    Participants must have valid insurance covering:

    • Motorcycle insurance valid in all tour countries

    • Personal travel insurance

    • Medical expenses and repatriation

    • Breakdown cover recommended

    Proof of insurance may be requested before the tour begins.


    8. Safety & Conduct

    1. Riders must follow instructions from the tour leader.

    2. Dangerous riding, intoxication, or reckless behaviour may result in removal from the tour without refund.

    3. Riders are responsible for their own riding decisions and road safety.


    9. Liability

    1. Motorcycling involves inherent risks.

    2. Participation in the tour is undertaken entirely at the participant’s own risk.

    3. The Company shall not be liable for:

      • Injury, loss, or damage arising from the rider’s actions

      • Mechanical failure of motorcycles

      • Road conditions

      • Actions of third parties

    4. The Company’s liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted under UK law.

    Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot be excluded under UK law.


    10. Accommodation & Meals

    Where accommodation or meals are included:

    • The Company acts as an agent for third-party providers.

    • The Company is not responsible for acts or omissions of these providers.


    11. Passports, Visas & Travel Documents

    Participants are responsible for:

    • Holding a valid passport

    • Meeting visa requirements

    • Carrying all required motorcycle documents when travelling in Europe.


    12. Photography & Media

    The Company may take photos or videos during tours for promotional purposes. By participating, customers grant permission for such use unless they request otherwise in writing.


    13. Force Majeure

    The Company shall not be liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control including:

    • Natural disasters

    • War

    • Government restrictions

    • Pandemics

    • Border closures


    14. Complaints

    Any complaints must be raised with the tour leader during the tour so reasonable steps can be taken to resolve the issue.


    15. Governing Law

    These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
